Annie Cohen-Solal

Annie Cohen-Solal, born in Algiers, lives between Paris, Milan and Cortona. Historian, essayist and curator of exhibitions, she is a distinguished professor at the Bocconi University in Milan. After completing her PhD at the Sorbonne, she taught at universities in Berlin, Jerusalem, New York and Paris, and was cultural advisor to the French embassy in the United States. Among his various books, the biographies of Jean-Paul Sartre, Leo Castelli and Mark Rothko stand out, published all over the world. In Italy appeared: Sartre (1986), Americani per sempre. The painters of a new world (2006) and Leo & C. Storia di Leo Castelli (2010). Picasso. Una vita da straniero has won the Femina Award for Essay 2021 and is being translated in many countries.
