As Palazzo Reale in Milan hosts the major exhibition dedicated to Ugo Mulas, two famous colleagues and friends shared with the curator Denis Curti memories and anecdotes about their relationship with the photographer
Professional life and personal memories merge in the words of photographers Gianni Berengo Gardin and Uliano Lucas, who were invited by Denis Curti ‒ curator, together with Alberto Salvadori, of the exhibition about Ugo Mulas at Palazzo Reale in Milan ‒ to describe their relationship with the photographer born in Pozzolengo. From the police charges in St. Mark’s Square, in which Berengo Gardin and Mulas were involved, to the unforgettable evenings at Bar Jamaica evoked by Lucas, the two stories are a remarkable contribution to understanding not only Mulas’ talent, but the peculiarities of an entire era.
